Intro To Bikepacking Discussion:
We gather at the WBR Lodge and talk bikes, gear and navigation along with how to properly pack a bike. We will talk about food and cooking options and how to shop and carry food for bikepacking adventures. We will discuss wildlife, stealth camping and water management and purification options. This is your time to ask an expert anything you are curious about regarding bikepacking.

Shake Down Ride Around WBR:
We will meet at the WBR Office. You bring your bike and gear all loaded and we take a short day ride as a group (approximately 2 hours) - this is where you figure out what works and more importantly what does not work and we can reorganize your bike as needed or discuss options. It is a great opportunity to see how other riders organized and to see different options for gear and packing. We can spend time repacking bike more efficiently based on your individual needs.
A 1hr consult for packing advise with Cricket included via phone or in person at WBR prior to June 15 ride.

Overnight BikePack Trip (3 Days 2 Nights And 110 Miles):
We now take everything you have learned and head out together in a small group for a 3 Day and 2 Night bikepacking ride on the Great Divide Route. Why 2 nights? Because living off your bike for 3 days and 2 nights is simply the best way to really dial in a bikepacking system, since you have to pack up and ride several times out in the elements. Included is a shuttle to the starting point and Cricket will be available throughout the ride to help you with on route issues as they develop. We will ride back into the WBR Sunday afternoon.

Banff To Eureka Bikepack Ride (7 Days and 267 miles):
We will take a WBR shuttle to Banff and get dropped off at the start of the Great Divide Route and ride back into the US to Eureka, Montana, via this extremely scenic and challenging route. Limited to 5 women to bikepack with Cricket Butler - she is not your guide - you are in charge of this trip. She will ride with you and help as issues develop so you learn to be self sufficient and confident in your choices on route. This is a fantastic learning opportunity to experience bikepacking in it's most beautiful element, and travel a section of the Great Divide Mountain Bike Route with a small group of bike-minded women - all supporting and encouraging one another. Cricket is experienced with the Great Divide Route and the reality of bikepacking! On route discussions will include navigation, food, water purification, bike repair, how to be bear aware, gear and so many more.

WBR will go through the process of teaching your group what you need to know for a successful trip and all on your schedule- from what gear to carry, navigation, cooking and food prep, water management, how to pack the bike efficiently, riding in bear territory and so much more.
Trips can be structured based on your group - from an overnighter with a few nights here at the WBR Lodge to prep for a trip - to a week long trip around the WBR or on the Great Divide Mountain Bike Route.

Whitefish Bike Retreat - Whitefish, Montana
The WBR is located trailside to the Whitefish Trail with access to over 55+ miles of singletrack and endless gravel roads to explore! The Great Divide Mountain Bike Route is close and offers many bikepacking options. There is a diverse network of singletrack trails in the area surrounding the WBR, ranging from cross country to free-ride to downhill lift assisted to high alpine singletrack. WBR is located minutes from downtown Whitefish and close to Glacier National Park. Summer recreational activities abound throughout the area, so you can enjoy other activities during your visit. Our staff is here to help you get the most out of your visit!
ACCOMMODATIONS
The WBR has a beautiful Lodge with private rooms and single bunks in a shared room. Our campground has campsites and a bath house with toilets and hot showers. Or stay in our one of a kind Private WBR Cabin. Stay before or after your adventure to chill and relax!

WBR is a small business and we do understand things happen.
To register the Divide trip, a non-refundable deposit of half is due at the time of registration to confirm your spot.
The remaining balance is due 30 days prior to the session or trip dates to confirm your participation. You will not receive a refund if you cancel less than 30 days prior to the class date, unless we can fill your spot, in which case you get a full refund, minus the $25.00 processing fee. No shows will not be refunded any funds.
